COWI is hiring for BIM Coordinator - Civil 3D ||Exp : 0 - 2 Year || Education : BE/B.Tech - Civil Engineer/Diploma ||Location : Chennai

Job Description: 

• Lead a team of CIVIL 3D BIM modellers
• Prepare 3D BIM models in CIVIL 3D for marine structures including piled jetties, retaining structures like diaphragm walls, sheet pile walls, embankments, steel structures, breakwaters and revetments etc.
• Mentoring and training Junior BIM modellers in 3D modelling software
• Clash detection and coordination of  3D models prepared in various software (Civil 3D/Tekla and Revit) with Navis-works and other coordination software
• Understand BIM execution plan and implement it on project
• Set up the project BIM standards as per project requirements
• Coordinate with internal and external design engineer for the information required to prepare BIM and generate drawings and quantities
• Generate 4D construction sequence in Navis-works
• Manage and log design and coordination changes
• Perform and document quality checks at each stage of submissions drawings and Quantities/BOQ
• Estimation, planning and tracking of the project

Professional Competencies: 

• BE/B.Tech Civil Engineer/Diploma Civil
• Strong 3D visualization capabilities
• Extensive knowledge in CIVIL 3D Model preparation & extraction of 2D drawings using CIVIL 3D
• Extensive experience in BIM process - creating and updating projects in BIM and updating model contents to support on-going designs
• Experience in Tekla (Concrete & Steel), Revit structure, Navis-works, Auto CAD will be an added advantage
• Working knowledge of Micro station 3D will be an added advantage

• Excellent communication skills with strong command over written & spoken English to be able to interact with internal as well as external teams
• Team orientation skills to be able to interact and coordinate with other business units in COWI
• Quality and detail orientation to carry out self-check of reports/calculations prior to submission for QA
• Coaching and Training skills to be able to train the junior employees
• Ability to perform under tight deadlines
